You just wait, next week will be fantastic

Bad news bears.

I have about 15 minutes to throw on a few photos from the week, but the memory on my laptop is completely full. So...nevermind. Not now. Bummer. Bad planning on our part. We had too much fun this weekend- I think Merm explained a little bit of that. I have some great ones of the kinder kids in the van after school one day, Flor and Abelado playing outside with the dogs, a van load of kids I took to Aldama one evening to run some errands, lots of Kachito (always hilarious to me, probably not so much to you if you don't know him), Rubi and I in my bed when it was her turn to sleep with me, my adventure in Chihuahua when Mama had me run several errands with Mague and Marcela- one being taking Mama's precious little dog to the vet. Can't wait to show you. Oh, Mom and Dad- I got new shoes! It's insane, but ne of the older girls, Adidlene, said, "I have a surprise for you. A Christmas present." She handed me a bag and ran away. I opened it up to find the best gift ever- the SAME pair of tennis shoes I have now, but brand new. The ten dollar pair, red with white and blue from Wal-Mart that have giant holes in them, but brand new! I always regretted not buying 2 pairs and look- I got another pair from Mexico. From an orphanage in Mexico. How crazy is that? Oh, and these are the shoes I bought 3 years ago. Definitely not in the stores anymore. I have no clue how we ended up with them. I'll show you a pic of them next week. What a blessing.

Okay, it's time to go. Sorry to give you a boring ol' paragraph about the pictures that I can't show you. Things are great here. Feeling very blessed these days. Don't want to leave. (But I do miss the fam and friends.) I'm praying for a good last month here- that I'll love the kids more every day and soak up my time with the staff. I"m bracing myself for the day we have to leave, but try to be all here everyday and not think too much about a month from now.

Thank you all for staying connected with Lily this way, and for keeping everyone here in your prayers.

Peace,

Lauren
