A final note from Linda

Here is my final contribution to the blog:

During my recent visit to Lily, I spent the majority of my efforts to gather information on children who might be available for 'orphan status' and research possibilities of adoption. This took such a toll on my heart. I remember a few of my 'interviews' with the children...and I weep each time I think of these children. One sibling group of 4 children stands out in my mind. I asked these children what they were most thankful for. They were very quick to say "a bed to sleep in and food to eat". Their background information revealed that they were living on their own in a shack for several years. Their mother and other people would stop by every once in a while...but they were on their own. These kids have very tender hearts and are very loving for all they have been through. Another sibling group of 2 young boys waited at a grocery store for their mom to come out...but she ditched them there and took off. The store owner got annoyed at them because they wouldn't leave the store entrance because their mom said she was going in after a few groceries and she would be right back. The police finally took them away after 3 or 4 days and these boys believe there was some kind of mistake and their mom will come back any day...they are still waiting for her.

These kids need godly moms and dads to adopt them. Unfortunately these godly moms and dads are living a very 'comfortable' life right now and don't see these desperate needs. Please help me pray that God will shake the worlds of Christian homes and challenge them to adopt these children. Every child is a gift of God and needs a mom and dad to lavish love on them.

One more thing (and Mary Ellen...you better include this paragraph). Mary Ellen and Lauren are doing an awesome job down there. These two single girls in their mid twenties are moms to 50 some girls without any practice. They instantly have had to figure out how to fix upset tummys, make girls shower & brush teeth, help calm nightmares, talk about fears, serve as taxi driver, big sister, mommy& daddy and they do all of this with huge smiles. Their lives are a testimony to a huge God. What they do is not humanly possible. Please encourage them. I will testify that money you send to them is used for these children. They are not there for any other reason but to bring glory to their God. I know God smiles as He watches them.

All for Jesus,
Linda Beggs

Linda, thanks for loving on and being a role model for our daughters. One of the things that makes the LOV support community so impressive is the humility of the members.
